Spring in Bloom

Now that the spring equinox has passed we are on our last leg of the school year as the days grow longer, and we continue our journey around the year toward summer. By now, the warmth has likely arrived, and the snow has melted, though if you live in the very far north, you may still be waiting- although hopefully not much longer! However, one wonderful thing about using the equinoxes and solstices as our guide is that the light, unlike the temperature, follows a predictable pattern, and so the days are officially now longer than the nights. While this time of year doesn't always mean bright sunny days,  as the old adage goes, “April showers bring May flowers.” And so we can look forward to the lovely sight and fragrance of the blooms that arrive at this time of year.
